What a great show. I had a perfect spot in Riverside Park on the Arkansaw River. This allowed me to watch the kayakers, paddle boarders, and tubers come down the river when booth activity was slow. I enjoyed meeting lots of new people and telling them the stories behind my art. Even when it rained on Saturday afternoon things were good. That's when I sold the 16" x 20" of my "Locomotive Waking Up" photo to a new fan who was in my booth escaping the brief shower. The story behind that photo is that it was taken the night before it's first trip in almost 20 years. The story sold the photo! Salida also allowed me to spend a day jeeping in the nearby mountains taking more pictures. Over the next months, I will put some of those photographs on my website.
